Service
Buyela provides tools for reporting lost Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook), generating recovery codes and Lost Mode text, receiving finder evidence, and helping owners recover a device or sell it to the finder. We do not access Apple accounts or Find My on your behalf.
Eligibility
You must be able to enter a binding agreement under South African law. Owners must only report devices they are entitled to recover. Finders must submit truthful information and lawful evidence.
Ownership and possession
Holding a found device does not make you the owner. Submitting an asking amount or selling interest does not transfer ownership. Stolen property must be handled lawfully; Buyela may refuse or flag cases and cooperate with lawful requests.
Offers and payments
Offers from Buyela are invitations to treat until accepted in the product. Amounts, finder rewards, and payment timing are as shown in the case. Where a deal involves payment, the payer pays Buyela (not the counterparty). Buyela holds funds in escrow and, on return flows, may also receive the physical device. Buyela pays the other party after verification or unlock confirmation. Acquisition may require removal of Activation Lock and completion of verification checklists before payment is released.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful content, attempt to circumvent security, spam submissions, or misrepresent device status. We may suspend accounts or close cases for abuse or fraud risk.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, Buyela is not liable for devices that are never found, finder conduct outside our control, Apple service changes, or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. See also our Privacy notice.
